Harnessing the power of the horse to improve the lives of veterans and trauma victims.

Located in Cicero, Indiana, the mission of Macy Ray Farm is two fold.  Through our Warriors and War Horses Program, we are dedicated to serving America’s veterans and victims of trauma, through the assistance of our thoroughbreds off the track.  Our Rays Ambassador’s program focuses on rescue, rehab, retraining,  and re-homing off the track thoroughbreds (OTTB’s).

Macy Ray Farm was established in 2015 to serve America’s Racehorse, our Heroes and victims of trauma.  We work to pair thoroughbreds off the track with veterans and victims of trauma, allowing the individual to be an integral part of the thoroughbred’s successful transition into a second career.  We achieve this transition by incorporating natural horsemanship, equine therapy methodology and basic riding instruction into each session.  We strongly believe that individuals faced with the mental hurdles of experiencing trauma will be able to relate to what a thoroughbred has been through during their career at the racetrack. Macy Ray Farm was created for both horse and human.  To demonstrate to them that together they can learn to overcome any and every obstacle.

Macy Ray Farm is the product of a partnership between a girl with a lifelong passion for horses and a veteran.  Together they saw a need for more awareness surrounding mental health, PTSD, TBI, and the effects it has on the military population. Macy Ray Farm was formed to bring a unique approach to the treatment of mental health in the military community.
